2007

- 2007 is the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great Swedish children's author Astrid Lindgren. We propose a year-long reading of the favorite books and lesser-known works of this wonderful author, combined with discussions about values.
- January, February, March - we read all the volumes of Pippi Longstocking; we discuss the values which the books display: bravery, friendship, honesty, optimism, humor, independence, and ingenuity.
- 14 January - our Foundation joins in the closing-day celebration of the 15th Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. We hold meetings with children who have been saved by the Great Orchestra.
- Winter with Books - organizing fairy tale gatherings and meetings focused on the books of Astrid Lindgren in preschools, schools, day-care centers, orphanages, bookstores, theatres and other locations.
- Kickoff of the BIG CAMPAIGN to encourage gifts of 1% of personal income tax to the ABCXXI Foundation. This year we are raising funds to better satisfy the needs of children who have no one to read to them - in orphanages, hospitals and hospices. Individuals paying personal income tax in Poland may support our work by sending 1% of their income tax to the bank account of ABCXXI "All of Poland Reads to Kids" Foundation:
